Anyone got any guesses?? And the winner is: Tina!! Although she kind of knew too. This is a lap band and as of Aug. 5, I will have one! I promise it will not overtake my blog, (that job belongs to my kids!) but as some of you have asked, I thought I'd explain a little bit.
The band is inserted lapriscopically (hence the name LAP band.) The round part goes around the top part of the stomach creating a small pouch. The inside of the band has a liner that is gradually filled with saline. Saline is added through the port which is on the right side of the picture. Because the stomach pouch is so small I should feel full longer. Hopefully I will finally be able to win the battle of the bulge with this devise.
It is not a magic cure, I'll still have to eat right, learn to exercise and all of that good stuff. But if I over eat, that food will...uh, let's just stay it will not stay in my stomach and leave it at that. Feel free to ask any questions you might have about the whole thing.

If I answer is it cheating?
Yes, Cindy that is cheating b/c I already told you! In fact, I wasn't going to blog on it until you asked, so NO TELLING!! <3
Oh my! I'm afraid to guess!
I know I know...but you also already told me ....so I guess I can't say either??
Nope, you're out of it too!! LOL
well, it looks kind of medical, a little stethoscope-y....i haven't a clue....oh but please do tell. the suspense is killing me!
I know I know! But I have to keep my mouth shut or mom will send me to the corner!
O O O O O I know, I know!!! But I won't guess since you told me too!
Lap Band?
Tina
Yeah! to my next door neighbor!!
At first I was going to guess a stethoscope for the hearing impaired doctor or nurse. It kind of looks like a stethoscope with a hearing aid attached to it. :)

Wow Tonni! Let us know how it goes, up or down! Okay, sorry, that was a little gross. =0) couldn't help it!
Love your new site design, so cute. Who did it for you?
Also, that is so cool that we read the same books. I am not alone in the world! ;0)
Wow, good luck with that Tonni!
Wow -- I've never heard of this before. How cool is that!!! Sounds like a great way to classically condition yourself to stop eating when full. Hmmm... me thinks I need to consider ways to do this, too.
I'll be interested to find out how all this works. Thanks for sharing with us!
Praying for you as you prepair for your surgery tomorrow!!!
